TPP – NAWCAD - NAVAIR  - TECH BRIDGE 

 

 Tuesday, June 24, 2025, 2PM EST (11AM PST). The next SOMD Tech Bridge and the High Desert Tech Bridge Hybrid Tide Talk. This event is a joint discussion between Rick Tarr, Director, NAWCAD Technology Transition Office, Director, SOMD Tech Bridge, and ORTA and Dylan Riley, Co-Director High Desert Tech Bridge, NAWCWD Director of Technology Transfer, and ORTA. They will discuss their roles, how they collaborate, and the ways they work with small businesses and academia, all to support the warfighter. Specific topics are partnering with the Navy, the roles of ORTAs, Technology Transition (T2) and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs). 

No FAR acquisition information or information on any project currently under contract will be shared. In-person attendance at each location will be limited to 45 attendees on a first come first serve basis.

The Apprenticeship Maryland Program/Tech Jobs Rule (AMP/TJR) and the Dr. James A. The "Every Student Flies" program- Ready 9 Aviation Academy is an evolution of Southern Maryland Seaplanes, focused on providing specialty flight instruction for rated pilots.  This new chapter builds on that expertise to bridge the gap between existing STEM programs in Southern Maryland and a hands-on instructional experience in an airplane. The Ready 9 program offers every high school-aged student in Southern Maryland a free hands-on flight in an airplane.
