Congratulations to Marty Larson, One Bistro's Board Treasurer, on his retirement! He spent over 30 years in healthcare—including 15 with the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association.
Marty said, "Guided by my priorities—God, family, then work—I’m deeply grateful to have served the Dayton/Springfield communities. I’m looking forward to what’s next: more time with family, new interests, and staying connected with the amazing people I’ve met along the way." |

💚 "Purpose Finds a Home"💚 |
After Leslie's mother passed away last year, she grieved bitterly, having not only lost her best friend, but also her sense of purpose, as she had been her mother's primary caregiver for the past decade. Through various meetings with friends and advocates for One Bistro, Leslie was introduced to One Bistro's manager, Margie, and began volunteering regularly. What she found at One Bistro was a welcoming community and camaraderie among the volunteers, a purposeful place to serve and make a difference, and a way to honor her mother's memory through service. "Margie has been incredibly generous in welcoming me and I quickly felt a part of her volunteer team. Belonging is a great feeling," Leslie said. "One Bistro’s mission of providing a safe place for anyone and everyone to eat really good, healthy food, regardless of their means to pay, is a model I would love to see provided in every community,"
She also seriously recommends the salted caramel cookies! 🍪

Legacy Village: Memory Cafe |
Once a month One Bistro has the opportunity to partner with Legacy Village and the Alzheimer's Association: Miami Valley Chapter to offer a Memory Cafe luncheon. These lunches provide a welcoming and peaceful place to connect and find encouragement and support. In January the attendees made simple birdfeeders with pinecones, peanut butter and bird seed.
