Pick Up Pennsylvania - Participate in Pick Up Pennsylvania from September 1 through November 30 and get free trash bags and gloves, provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, PennDOT and the Ocean Conservancy, as supplies last. Last year, nearly 12,000 volunteers removed 900,250 pounds of trash and tires from our lands and water. Register your cleanuphere.
Litter Free School Zone -Schools in Pennsylvania are invited to join the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Litter Free School Zone Program. Keeping their school litter-free is an easy and fun way for students to work together to learn valuable community leadership and responsibility skills while gaining a respect for the environment and the world around them. A sign recognizing the school as a Litter Free School Zone is provided.
Community Improvement Grants Awarded - Friends of Codorus State Park, Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education and York Fresh Food Farms were among the 42 recipients of the community improvement grants awarded to nonprofits through a partnership between Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and The GIANT Company.
