Only Through Faith

Mysteries of the Eucharist

MYSTERIES%20OF%20THE%20EUCHARIST.jpg

The Most Holy Eucharist:

So poor and useless in appearance that it scandalizes because of its nothingness.
And yet in reality, it contains everything and sustains everything.

There are so many Mysteries contained
in the Sacred Eucharist:
Christ's Incarnation.
His Passion. His Death. His Resurrection.
His total Obedience.
His complete humiliation.
The infinite Love of our God and Father.
The infinite Love of our Lord and Savior.
The infinite Love of the Most Holy Spirit
Who gives breath to all that is created.

EVERYTHING is present in the Sacred Host.
But it is impossible for our  poor humanity
to receive and value this everything
ONLY BY MEANS OF FAITH
can we receive
the life-giving Light and Divine Warmth
of His Most Holy Presence in the Eucharist.
ONLY IN FAITH.

Jesus, we trust in You.

First Mass: This Tuesday, August 1

Beginning in August, weekday Mass will change to Tuesday and Friday ( instead of Wednesday & Friday) in order to avoid the conflict with the monthly deanery meeting that caused us to cancel Mass once a month.

July Jobs Continue

Though technically on his July break, Peter has been in the office most days, continuing to spearhead the transition to our new CRM software system. Here he confers with Susannah on one of the endless  questions that arise.

FAN%20PROJECT.jpg

With only "natural air conditioning"  for cooling, we rely heavily on fans to keep St. Joseph Chapel bearable during the summer. A friend of the Mission has donated eight new larger fans to replace those currently in the Chapel. Here, Dave, Steve and Hunter Nolan are working to assemble the new fans, prior to the arrival of the electrician. Dave wants them installed before Tuesday's Mass.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

Attended Mass on 6/16/23 and I felt so much peace. ~Maricruz

Oh my Jesus. Trusting you has empowered me in ways I didn’t know possible. Daily I face spiritual battles that wear me out. Only by surrendering to Divine Assistance is my soul at rest. Jesus, my Jesus I trust you to order my steps in accordance with God’s amazing plan. ~Jill

If you can’t trust Jesus, who can you trust? Jesus I Trust in You, 20 times is easy now. I say it many times when I’m driving instead of saying what I used say! !~ Ronnie

"Jesus I Trust In You!" I will continue to claim God's Promise - Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 .  I believe I did the best I could as a mom. I need prayers now for me. May our Lord Jesus Christ, place in my heart, Soul and mind to just trust Him and to be able to learn to "Live and Let Live" and to "Let go and let God" handle the rest of my journey now that they are adults. Praying in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen! ~Guadalupe
