Heads up, Tarrant County True Texans!
Our county has great conservative leadership under County Judge Tim O'Hare, and we have a majority on the Commissioner's Court. We must maximize that position. One way to do that is to create new district maps to ensure that we have a majority on the court for years to come.
The maps are usually redrawn after a census, which means it should have been done in 2020. Due to Covid, it wasn't. That was a blessing in disguise because now we have the opportunity to do it under O'Hare.
Now, before anyone starts whining, "That's not playing fair" let me just remind you that the Democrats do this ALL. THE. TIME. The court literally has to have no reason to redistrict other than, "we want to." And the Left takes full advantage of that. Isn't it time our side played a little more hard ball? It's legal, and it's smart.
So new maps have been drawn up. The Left is freaking out. They've not only called on all the questionable organizations they control, like Act Blue, to register their choice for a new map, but they have gone so far as to offer babysitting and rides to show up at district meetings and at the court for the final vote! Hey, ya gotta admire their passion.
Can our passion match that? Here's what we need you to do:
Submit comment online by clicking here. Only one sentence is needed: "I support redistricting with the most conservative map that gives us 3 Republican county commissioners." Takes about 30 seconds.
Show up and speak at a Public Hearing in your district. I know, I know. You're scared. You don't want to get on a mic and speak in front of everyone. Whatever will you say??? Say this: "My name is John Doe and I support redistricting with the most conservative map that gives us 3 Republican county commissioners. Thank you." Then sit down. You don't even need notes for that! The length of your speaking is irrelevant. The only thing needed is lots of people speaking for THE MOST CONSERVATIVE MAP. It's nice that most of the meetings are in the evenings, so you don't even have to miss work. Hearings are being held:
May 20 @ 10am - ALL Precincts - 100 E Weatherford St, Ft Worth - for this one you must register to speak in advance online between May 17 and 5pm May 19. The sign-up form won't be there until that window opens, but you'll find it here.
Here's a map for you to see what district you live in, or you can click here for a more detailed map.
Sign up to speak at the Commissioners Court meeting June 3 downtown at 100 E Weatherford St, Ft Worth. Just like at the district meetings, all you have to do is stand up and say, "I am John Doe, and I support redistricting with the most conservative map that gives us 3 Republican county commissioners. Thank you." You must sign up to speak in advance between May 31 and 5pm June 2. The sign-up form won't be available until that window opens, but you'll find it here.
Remember, the Left is turning out in droves. At one Commissioners Court meeting that happened already this week, dozens of Dems showed up to speak against this effort, and not a single person on our side did. This is significant, and the media took note. We need the numbers to fight any lawsuit the Left may throw out there. What we are doing is legal and acceptable, and we have an attorney who has done this before and won at the Supreme Court, but it would be great to have evidence from all of you backing up the decision.
It's 4 steps. One and two are super fast and super easy. Three and four require more effort. Every step is crucial. This is where True Texans must shine.
Why does this matter? Because it will have a very long lasting affect on Tarrant County. You have the opportunity to make a significant impact, and that is rare!
