The International Center Welcomes Global Motorsports Professionals to Discover Indiana’s Racing Innovation
The International Center was honored to host a delegation of motorsports professionals from 25 countries through the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program project: Racing Forward: American Innovation in Motorsports.
Their visit kicked off with Conexus Indiana providing an overview of Indiana's industry ecosystem that has contributed to the continuing growth of advanced manufacturing, logistics, and motorsports across our state.
They had the opportunity to learn about the only accredited motorsports engineering program in the country offered by Purdue University in partnership with Dallara and the reach their alumni have already had across the industry. No visit to Dallara would be complete without some friendly competition at the Sim Garage!
Between a packed race schedule, the group was honored to be hosted by Chip Ganassi Racing getting a peek into the dedicated team and their meticulous work that makes the team successful and innovative.
Their visit concluded with a day at the track. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum left everyone awestruck with its immersive exhibits exploring the history of the Indy 500 and the winning cars from 1911 to now. The delegation had the opportunity to then learn more about Indianapolis Motor Speedway's racing operations, economic impact, and community partnership, as well as the innovation and growth of INDYCAR.

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, is a time to recognize the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the world. The month encompasses the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, with Mexico and Chile following shortly after. As we celebrate the impact of these vibrant cultures on a global scale, it is equally important to reflect on their influence closer to home—right here in Indiana.
Check out our blog below to learn more about the significance of the month and local organizations supporting Hispanic and Latino residents.
The International Center was pleased to support a recent visit by France’s Consul General to Indianapolis, Ms. Charlotte Montel, hosted by our President and CEO, Martin Baier, in his role as Honorary Consul to France. During the visit, she met with leaders from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Indy Economic Development, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, and Senator Todd Young’s office to discuss the strong economic relationship between France and Indiana.
The visit also highlighted the growing impact of the French-American Chamber of Commerce Midwest's Indiana Branch, the Indianapolis-Le Mans sister city partnership, and the International School of Indiana’s longstanding commitment to French language immersion. We were honored to help facilitate these connections and strengthen the ties between France and Indiana.
