Dear Science Olympiad Community:

That’s a wrap on the 2026 season! The 42nd Annual Science Olympiad National Tournament is officially in the books - and what an incredible experience it was. From standout performances to unforgettable moments, this year’s tournament was a true success.

Congratulations to our all-California champions: Monta Vista High School from Cupertino and back-to-back winners Sierra Vista Middle School from Irvine!

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and the Science Olympiad USA Foundation, students went home with medals, prizes, and scholarships. A huge thank you to the University of Southern California and the USC Alumni Chapter for serving as outstanding hosts.

Missed out or want to relive the excitement? Visit the National Tournament page for pics, videos and results by event and team rank order.

It was such an honor to have James Bullock - Dean, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences - as our opening keynote speaker. He spoke about his work as an astrophysicist, his passion for galaxies, and collaboration. USC did a nice wrap piece on the event!
