IT'S GIVING TUESDAY, SO LET'S SPREADJOY!

SPREADJOY%20Cookies.jpg

Give back to your community today, gift cookies tomorrow, perform an act of kindness the next day... you can SPREADJOY all month long!

Hello Natalie!

It's GIVING TUESDAY!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of charitable giving to encourage people to give back to their communities as an alternative to excessive spending on material things during the holiday season.

That said, 37% of our annual operating budget comes from donors like you! We are just over $10,000 away from our annual goal to hitting that 37%, so on this Giving Tuesday we ask you to help...

SPREADJOY

...through your financial contribution to the Outreach Center of West Houston.

The center is a joyful place filled with people form all walks of life seeking hope, healing, education, enrichment, answers to basic needs, and ways to build better futures. When you give, you help keep the lights on and the doors open to all of this. It's the spread of joy!

Additionally, starting tomorrow the 4th through the 18th, we kindly ask you to do your holiday cookie gift orders and party catering through Tiff's Treats at cookiedelivery.com. When you check out with the promo code SPREADJOY, 20% of your purchase will go back to the center! Now that's a sweet deal!

'Tis the season to SPREADJOY!

Join us in the hype, and follow us on social media via the links at the top of this email to see how the cookie crumbles all December! Happy holidays!

November Highlights:

As soon as our golf tournament was behind us, we were full speed ahead on our November 2nd Artreach Market. It ended up being a rainy day, but smiles still abounded. Here is a link to the album on that event. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, in every way!

World Kindness Day graced our calendars on November the 13th, while the gifts and talents of the Fluor Corporation graced our facility! Our friends at Fluor decorated the halls and restroom mirrors with positive messages, as well as provided goodie bags for the kids at FamilyPoint Resources and the attendees of Two Lives Changed. Thanks Fluor!

Check out our latest Synergy Corridor podcast episodes, done in collaboration with ECHO Orchestra, and produced by Podastery LLC. This month we had the pleasure of speaking with Outspoken Bean, Houston's 5th Poet Laureate, as well as Tim Stroud on behalf of Operation Turkey! Tune in to learn more! (You can subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, and Amazon.)

Operation Turkey at OCWH was a big success and 300 people were fed! Thanks to the Rotary Club of Houston Galleria for coordinating and allowing us to be partners! Shout out to Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, Boot Shooters BBQ, and all the volunteers for also playing important roles in the day!

Have you noticed the abundance of holiday decor at the center? Volunteers from Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, as well as some other community elves, came by and decorated our building inside and out this year! Looks great guys!

Serty31, Founder of Neograffik Creative Studio, finished the mural that got started during ArtReach! This piece celebrates growth and positivity, with a radiant flower at its center symbolizing new beginnings. The arrows reaching outward represent the spread of hope, energy, and connection, inspiring all ages to embrace change and reach for the future.
