NEW! Kaiwi Bike & Bus Option at Honolulu Century Ride
New to cycling or looking for a fun ride the whole family can enjoy? On Sunday, September 27th, our new Kaiwi Bike & Bus option lets you experience the first 13.5 miles of the Honolulu Century Ride - including two miles of car-free riding along the Kaiwi Coast - before arriving at Sandy Beach Park. Enjoy the beautiful beach views and poi malasadas at our Sandy Beach Aid Station, then hop on a bus back to Kapiʻolani Park for live entertainment at the Ride Aloha Festival! The HCR also features 25-50-75-100 mile options.
HBL Recognized at E-Bike Bill Signing With Governor Green
On July 15, 2026 HBL Executive Director Travis Counsell was invited to make remarks as Governor Green signed HB2021 into law as Act 259. This caps years of advocacy and education efforts to update statewide traffic code with new definitions and regulations for e-bikes and micromobility devices. Read more here.

BikeEd Gets a New Bike Fleet!
Thanks to HLTA’s EAC, BikeEd Hawai’i will start the school year off with a new fleet of bicycles! Next Steps for North Shore Trails
Earlier this summer, HBL staff spent the day riding the North Shore of Oʻahu with Kaleohano Farrant of the North Shore Community Land Trust(NSCLT) to explore key sections of the North Shore Trails system in need of development or rehabilitation. MTB Kauaiis hosting another race on Saturday, September 12th in Anahola! This time it's an Enduro Race (timed downhill runs). It promises to be a great time for both riders and spectators. Hawaii Cycling Clubon the Big Island presents the Patricio’s Mexican Taqueria Kua Bay Training Time Trial, Sunday, August 16, 2026, a 12.19-mile road course running south on the Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway from the Waikoloa Beach Resort Road to the Kua Bay turnoff.
