2024 CHARITABLE EVENTS
- Boyne Thunder is a signature summer event on Lake Charlevoix, bringing together high-performance boaters and spectators from across the country for an unforgettable weekend on the water.
- Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf continues to be a cornerstone of support for Challenge Mountain, not only through their generous challenge grant as part of the year-end appeal but also by inspiring others to give.
- Boyne Mountain & Challenge Mountain — A Shared Anniversary:
In early 2024, Boyne Mountain Resort celebrated its 75th anniversary alongside Challenge Mountain’s 40th anniversary with a weekend of festivities, including the 75-hour Mountain Challenge.
- Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive — For 40 years, the Boyne Valley, Petoskey and Vanderbilt Knights of Columbus have supported Challenge Mountain through their annual Tootsie Roll Drive.
- DECA – Petoskey High School students chose Challenge Mountain as the beneficiary of their 2024 fall fundraiser.
- Walloon Lake Country Club Ladies Golf League named Challenge Mountain beneficiary of their annual charitable golf outing. The theme “Under the Big Top” brought camaraderie, golf, and a delicious lunch together for a great cause.
- Wineguys Restaurant Group hosts its annual Eating for Others days every May, with proceeds from each of their restaurants supporting local organizations. In 2024, City Park Grill selected Challenge Mountain as its beneficiary.
- In celebration of their anniversary, Culver’s of Petoskey donated a percentage of proceeds from the special day to Challenge Mountain.

From Chilly Challenge polar plunge in Walloon Lake on March 22, 2025, hosted by Hotel Walloon, to creative community events, businesses and organizations are making a difference by naming Challenge Mountain as their beneficiary. Tito’s Homemade Vodka, for example, named Challenge Mountain the beneficiary of their recent Boyne Mountain event.
