Letter to Our Friends

                             July 18, 2024

Dear Friends,

Many of you have made us aware of your ongoing prayers for MDM, telling us of your support and concern over our situation. But you also express a desire for a greater understanding of exactly what is happening to us.
Let me say again that we are very, very grateful for your prayers.
My first impulse is always to let our friends know what is happening and where we stand. But my first priority, in this instance, has to be to respond to the various decrees from the Archdiocese, which involve us in a complex canonical situation that changes with each new communication from the Archdiocese.
This and other circumstances are causing the long delay in what we can say publicly about our situation.
However, as we await new Messages from the Lord—and we are as eager to hear from Him as you are!—there's a lot that we are preparing to share with you as soon as time allows: Messages that we've already received, responses to your questions in the form of a series of FAQ’s, and other announcements that we want to make. There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes, and we hope to be able to share the fruit of some of this work with you soon.

This is a difficult situation.  But don’t worry.  The One Thing that I am sure of is,  it is all in His Hands.

In His Mercy,
Fr. John Mary Foster
"Jesus, we trust in You."

Excerpt from Message of March 1, 2024:

To My Faithful Priests

God the Father speaks--

"...Do you see, My sons, why then there are incessant attacks on this Holy Sacrifice? Why the enemy must destroy It at all costs?  Why he works tirelessly to subvert It? And not being able to destroy It in Itself-- for he has already been vanquished by It-- he must destroy those in whose hands I have placed this Offering:

you, My Priests.
You see the attacks on My Most Holy Sacrament, the True Presence of My Jesus--with what disdain and disrespect He is treated, abused.
You see how these attacks destroy FAITH in the hearts of My children, who no longer believe My Jesus, no longer recognize Him.
You see how when FAITH  is extinguished, idolatry and despair take possession of the soul....
I Am always close to My children. And I hear their cries. I gather all their tears.
But I must let My children see what happens when I Am set aside. What happens when My Law is ignored, twisted.
What happens when I Am not listened to...."

PREPARING FOR CROSS ON TEPEYAC

TEP%20CROSS%20PREP(1).jpg

Most projects at the Mission move slowly. ( The only exception to this rule was the Tepeyac-Teocalli project!)  Over ten years ago a friend of the Mission, during prayer, was given a vision of "a large Cross on a hill overlooking a valley, towards which a large throng of pilgrims were making their way." Years later he was given a sense that the Cross was to be placed on Tepeyac, above the Teocalli. And later still, his children decided to make a donation to the Mission toward realizing this project. ( A full account of this story can be found in our Paschaltide 2023 newsletter.)
Progress on this project has been complicated by several factors, including how best to access the narrow ledge on the hillside. Getting concrete to the site and then erecting the large Cross has been an engineering puzzle.

But recently some decisions were made and the project is moving forward.  The red circle in the above photo indicates where a wooden form has been constructed to allow for pouring the concrete foundation.

We will keep you informed of its progress. Please keep the project in your prayers!

                                        Jesus, we trust in You.

JULY AT THE MISSION

During the month of July, the Mission office and grounds will be open to visitors during weekday office hours, but the only activities or services will be Sunday Masses at 9 AM.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

I feel peace through these messages. I also feel called to visit. I am praying for you!! ~Sarah

Hello, I lived in CL and this mission was my peace, my refuge, and my place to find answers that I really believe God put the words in the mouth of  Fr. John Mary to answer me or comfort my heart in pain. Please keep me in your prayers. I move out of CL but I know this mission brings peace to my heart. ~Anonymous

Yes, You Can Help!

COMMUNITY%20SUPPORT.jpg

Thank you for considering making a donation in support of  MDM. Your donations go directly to the Mission of Divine Mercy Inc. which as of March 2024, is considered "not an approved Catholic apostolate of the Archdiocese of San Antonio." The Mission has no regular source of income.  Every bit of support comes from people like you; people who God introduces to the Mission.  We try to steward your money wisely and make each dollar work hard for Him and for His people.
