Three years straight, a Science Olympiad competitor takes home the award again! Congratulations to the 2025 3M Young Scientist Challenge Winner, Kevin Tang, from the Cedarlane Academy of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District in Hacienda Heights, California - a Science Olympiad School! He invented Fall Guard, a novel fall detection device that can accelerate emergency responses to falls among older adults at home, even in the dark. Now crowned "America's Top Young Scientist," he also took home the grand prize of $25,000. We’re excited to see what incredible things he’ll accomplish next!
