🚨Survivor Scholarship Funds Needed!!
Contribute to the David L. Strauss
Memorial Scholarship Fund

The David L. Strauss Memorial Scholarship Fund plays a crucial role in helping brain injury survivors and their caregivers attend the Annual Conference—a transformative event that offers important education, resources, and community connection. This year, we have received 41 scholarship applications from survivors—many of whom also require assistance and need a caregiver to accompany them. For these individuals and their caregivers, the conference offers more than just education; it’s a rare and meaningful chance to connect, share, and heal in a supportive community. However, without additional donations, we simply won’t be able to meet the full extent of the need. Your support can ensure that more survivors and their caregivers don’t miss out on this enriching experience.
Please consider making a donation today—every gift makes a real impact.

John Savelloni Memorial Golf Clinic
Tuesday, June 17, 2025

This Annual Golf Clinic is organized by the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania, partnering again this year with PGA Reach, the Fighting Back Scholarship Program and Penn Oaks Golf Club. John Savelloni was an active and involved Council on Brain Injury (CoBI) Board member, as well as the CFO of the Oliver Heating and Cooling Company. Oliver has continued as the Event Sponsor in John's memory for many years.

This Learn to Swing clinic is designed for golfers and non-golfers of all abilities. The clinic will include instruction on both the driving range and the putting green by PGA Professionals from Penn Oaks and the surrounding area. We also thrilled to have GAP Adaptive join us again this year. Their "No Limits" philosophy helped all participants learn about adaptive equipment and increasing accessibility to the game.
 Registration opens May 1, 2025!

The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania was proud to host the first Opioid Summit on April 22 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s Opioid Initiative. This important event brought together representatives from the brain injury community, substance abuse disorder professionals, and other systems that serve individuals with coexisting disorders. The summit fostered meaningful dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, highlighting the urgent need for integrated care and greater awareness of the intersection between brain injury and substance misuse. The event was a great success, marking a strong step forward in addressing these overlapping challenges across the Commonwealth.
