"Had a great lunch! Love supporting local businesses. One Bistro does great work and love what they do." ~ Angie Bernhardt
One Token One Meal
Nothing says LOVE like One Token One Meal – It’s That Simple! The tokens offer various ways to ‘spread the love’ of One Bistro!
Melissa, a masseuse at Live Better Massage, LOVES receiving tokens from her customers as a way of them saying ‘great massage, thank you’! “The food is delicious and our salon is right next door. Receiving a token as a tip is simply wonderful and greatly appreciated.”
A fan of 4 Paws and One Bistro recently bought tokens to share with the families that come to Xenia to meet and train with their service dog. “Bearing witness to the families dining with their new family member is nothing short of beautiful. It certainly brings LOVE and joy to the bistro.”
When you purchase a token, you are helping your community café and when you give it away, you are blessing someone else.
Here is how One Token One Meal, It’s That Simple! works: Buy a token, hand it off to whomever for whatever reason, when that person comes to the café they enter as any guest, order and enjoy their meal. When they check out, they hand off the token as payment for their meal. It’s that simple!
We are so grateful for each of our Community Meal volunteer groups! Thank you for serving!
Community Partnerships
Our friends at Lighthouse Baptist Church (LBC) in Xenia, generously donated baggies filled with toiletries & encouragement for our guests. We are thankful for partners like LBC who care so deeply for the neighbors we serve. If you are a guest of One Bistro, please ask if you need one of these bags.
A big THANK YOU to our Lead Cook, Jason Downey's mom, Cheryl Downey who baked and decorated these amazing cupcakes, which she donated for our Community Meal dessert.

Treasurer, Sue Hunt, Gives her Historical Perspective of One Bistro
Sue first learned of One Bistro in 2012 while she was an active leader in Downtown Xenia Now (DXN); a downtown advocacy group dedicated to revitalizing Xenia’s downtown. Mary Crockett, the Downtown Development Coordinator for the City of Xenia at the time, invited Sue and some other community leaders to join her for lunch at One Bistro in Miamisburg to meet the Co-founder, Chef Robert Adamson. The hope was to entice Robert to open a One Bistro in Xenia. After many meetings and strong encouragement from this team of leaders, in late 2014, One Bistro’s Food Truck arrived in Xenia every Thursday and served lunch using the Toward Independence (TI) space on the main level which, at the time, was a large, open concrete atrium.
The partnership between One Bistro and TI began to grow as they made a significant investment in the buildout space for One Bistro. Early contributors to One Bistro were DXN, the City of Xenia, the Pipeline Grant, TI and 100 Women Making a Difference in Greene County and Sue Hunt had a front row seat.
In March of 2016, One Bistro had a soft opening and has been going strong since, providing a place where our neighbors eat and come together as one community. “We exist to worship God and share His love, and I am thankful to be a part of that mission to help improve the quality and life of our community in downtown Xenia. We invite one and all to come and join family,” said Sue, and she provides Colossians 3:17 for the foundation of her contribution: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Sue is native of Xenia and married to her high school sweetheart, Steve. They have been married for 48 years and have three children and eight grand children. She has been a business owner and held leadership roles in our community through Downtown Xenia Now, Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, Cornerstone Bible Church and Legacy Village Senior Living Community, where she has worked full-time as Business Office Manager for 14 years. One Bistro is honored to have Sue step into the role of Treasurer and is confident in Sue’s dedication and ability to oversee the stewardship of this non-profit community café.
