The
Physical Sign of His Love
On the Feast of Corpus Christi, 2022, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops launched a three-year-long Eucharistic Revival to restore understanding and devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist in our country.
The Most Holy Eucharist is the physical sign of Christ's Love for us, of His Care for us, of His desire to remain with us until the end of time.
All that Jesus does has multiple purposes and ends, all of them rooted in His Love for us. When we open our hearts in Faith, in Humility, and in Obedience, we can begin to understand His purposes.
FAITH is the door that opens the Mysteries: the Divine Mystery. It is the key that opens the Tabernacle that each of us carries in our Spirit, and into which the Mystery of the Triune God enters to dwell.
HUMILITY is the air, the atmosphere, in which we receive His Mysteries and that allows the Divine Fire to burn. Without this atmosphere there is no "oxygen" and the Light, the Fire, and the Action of God are stifled.
OBEDIENCE is the unbreakable barrier set around our interior Tabernacle that protects it and separates it from all that is worldly, from darkness and the mire of sin.
The Most Holy Eucharist is Jesus' Living Presence that nourishes us and give us life.

Novena of the Queenship of Mary
Our annual novena in honor of Mary's Queenship begins this Monday, Aug. 14 (the eve of the Feast of the Assumption) and concludes Tuesday, Aug. 22 the Feast of the Queenship of Mary.
This year's intention: That Mary leads us to a deeper realization of Her Son's True Presence in the Eucharist.
You are welcome to add your own intention and to choose the prayer with which to make the novena.
THIS PAST WEEK AT THE MISSION
ST. JOHN PAUL II HIGH SCHOOL staff make their annual day of retreat at the Mission in preparation for the new school year.
IT MAY NOT LOOK LIKE MUCH but these boards and string are the beginning of framing the foundation of the Sisters' new residence. YAY!
IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE SEPTIC and the drainage system went in this week.
"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary
MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You" ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

On this Feast of the Transfiguration, St. Peter calls us to keep our attention fixed on the prophetic words, like mariners with a lighthouse in a dark night.
