[Today we offer the second of four excerpts from a Message received

December 16, 2017.  ]

Jesus speaks-

These are the Holy Days...

It is the time of hope and of consolation.

When you feel sad and overwhelmed think of these days, which are days of Light, of great Light because of the fulfillment of My Promises, and that give you strength in the awaiting of the fulfillment of ALL of My Promises that is about to happen.

My first coming was a Wave of Grace
and of events awaited for centuries.

My second coming will be an Ocean of Grace and Mercy,
in which ALL will recognize Me
—in which will be revealed all that has been hidden for centuries
because the time had not yet come.

I Am coming.

Mission of Divine Mercy

Arrived in this week's email ...

Dear brothers and sisters of MDM,
Thanks for the Message, received on December 16, 2017. You plan to share four excerpts from this message during Advent. I will use every excerpt for my sermons on the Sundays of Advent. No better teacher than Jesus....
Jesus, we trust in You.                             (From a priest in Europe)

 MASS IN OCC

1st%20Mass%20OCC.jpg

Last Sunday was our first  Mass in the O'Callaghan Center, to which we have temporarily moved during cold weather to accommodate our larger Sunday congregation.

While many people commented that they weren't prepared for how beautifully and reverently the OCC could be transformed, there were some glitches. But we aim to resolve what we can.

The most aggravating problem was the strange and unexpected eruptions from the sound system! Our tech guy, Bill, thinks he has identified the problem as the sudden influx of so many cell phones conflicting with the wireless receiver. A problem he believes he has fixed.

Other problems like the need for increased ventilation, Spanish translation for the homily,  and adjusting Father's mic so that he can be heard clearly in the back, are also being remedied.

Making the OCC work for Mass is a work in progress--but we are definitely progressing forward!

SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION ASSISTANCE FOR THE HOMILY

We remind all of our Sunday Mass attendees who wish to hear Father's homily in Spanish that we have simultaneous translation available. At our information table, located in the covered part of the main access staircase to the OCC, we will give you instructions on how to access this service on your cell phone using headphones. We ask that you arrive at this information table 20 minutes before the start of the Holy Mass.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a comment or testimony. We ask that prayer intentions be placed at Prayer Request on our website.

Thank you for considering making a donation in support of  MDM. Your donations go directly to the Mission of Divine Mercy Inc. which as of March 2024, is considered "not an approved Catholic apostolate of the Archdiocese of San Antonio." The Mission has no regular source of income.  Every bit of support comes from people like you; people who God introduces to the Mission.  We try to steward your money wisely and make each dollar work hard for Him and for His people.
