SUNDAY MASS BEGINS AT 10:00 AM
Where Do I Belong?
"If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." (John 15:18-19)
Many of us feel, at best, out of step with the world; at worst, hated by the world around us. And our spirit can grow very weary with the effort of resisting the constant barrage leveled against it.
We may know that we do not "belong" in and to the world. But, if not here, then where do we belong?
WE BELONG TO GOD. WE BELONG IN HIS HEART.
Here is a little prayer that we should repeat daily, but perhaps especially when the sense of loneliness, of being an outcast, threatens to overwhelm:
My home is in Heaven. I have the Father, Who loves me. I have Jesus, Who helps me. I have the Holy Spirit,Who guides and loves me. I have a Mother Who loves me with infinite tenderness, in Whose arms I can rest. I have the Holy Angels. I have brothers and sisters. I AM NOT ALONE. I AM NOT FORSAKEN. Amen.
Jesus, I trust in You.

SAT., SEPT. 23 - 9:20 AM
OBEDIENCE ?
In these confusing times, how are we to understand the virtue of obedience? In this talk we will reflect on examples from Scripture, the Catechism, Aquinas and others in an effort to understand the Mystery of the Church, and how we are called to live obedience.
REFLECTION BY BR.MIKAEL
Saturday, Sept. 23 is the Feast of Padre Pio.
HIS POWERFUL NOVENA
This novena prayer was recited every day by Padre Pio for all those who asked for prayers.
I. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of [insert your intention.] Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory be to the Father…Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
II. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask any thing of the Father in my name, He will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of [insert your intention.] Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory be to the Father…Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
III. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of [insert your intention.] Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory be to the Father…Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours.
Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.
THIS PAST WEEK AT THE MISSION
The Sisters' Residence: Once the framing started, it seemed to happen almost overnight!
"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary
MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You" ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

My husband Marcus and I went for the first time to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on August 20 at the Mission of Divine Mercy. We were speechless for a while after Mass. The reverence. The music. The communion rails. The veils. The Holy of Holies celebrated and worshiped as He should be. Thank you so very much for welcoming us so warmly. We just moved into the area and have found our spiritual home! ~Selma

Jesus I Trust In You, therefore I ask that you help Kristin Deleon on her journey to a bone marrow transplant soon. She is my niece and suffering with Leukemia. I pray for a miracle! Jesus, I pray that you help my son David. He is a new father and needs your guidance and wisdom. ~ Angie ****
Thank you for your loving tribute to Mike Norris who introduced me to 33 Days of Morning Glory!!~Cindy ****
