Acquisition Research Program invites you to submit a research paper or panel proposal for the “Accelerating Warfighting Capabilities”, NPS 23rd Annual Acquisition Research Symposium & Innovation Summit. 

This event intends to inform acquisition policy and modernization efforts.  

This dual event will explore and promote innovative ways to enhance readiness, deter  

adversaries, and increase warfighting capabilities by reviving our defense industrial base, reforming our acquisition process, and rapidly fielding emerging technologies.   

CALL FOR PAPER AND PANEL PROPOSALS - DUE 18 NOVEMBER 2025 

The Summit welcome papers and panels proposals that address these areas of concern, as well as any other topics related to accelerating warfighting capabilities in procurement, acquisition, requirements, test and evaluation, maritime dominance, space systems acquisition, contracting and commercial solutions, research and development, program management, acquisition workforce, industrial base and supply chain, emerging technologies, risk-taking and innovation, and technology transition, and readiness.

Registration is Ongoing for Community Education Courses at 

NEWS: CSM and Towson University (TU) have partnered to increase educational pathways for students in our region. On September 29, 2025, Yolanda Wilson, Ed.D., College of Southern Maryland President, and Mark R. Ginsberg, Ph.D., Towson University President, signed a General Admissions and Reverse Transfer Agreement that creates a seamless transition for students enrolled at CSM with guaranteed admission to TU upon completing an associate degree. 

 

 The January 2026 St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair (SMCSEF) will be at the USMSM SMART Building and is open to St. Mary’s County residents. It is the perfect venue for students to share their talents in experimental methodologies, engineering design and testing, and other scientific projects.
