Summer is winding down, but the energy at our parks is as high as ever! As the days grow shorter and we head into crisp autumn mornings, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supports these spaces. Whether you donate annually, monthly, or just whenever you can, your generosity is the reason our pups can run free.
Today, we need a little extra help from our regulars: please help us spread the word! Our 15 dedicated volunteers cannot possibly speak to the average 2,200 dogs and their owners that visit the parks weekly, so your help is crucial in keeping these spaces vibrant and open. Surprisingly, only about 1 in 10 park-goers realizes that these spaces are funded entirely by visitors like you, rather than tax dollars. The other 9 out of 10 simply miss the signs.
As someone who loves this space, your voice makes a difference. By sharing how these parks are funded with fellow dog owners, you help ensure our community stays strong and our gates stay open. Your support truly goes a long way!
Did you Know?
DogPaw must raise a minimum of $65,000 per year to keep these spaces open. Your small $5 monthly donation does some incredible heavy lifting. It costs less than a single cup of coffee and just a little more than a gallon of gas—but to our pups, it is the ultimate fuel that keeps our off-leash spaces vibrant, safe, and open!
Every now and then, our community reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
We recently received a incredibly generous $1,000 donation with a heartwarming note attached:
"Our donation to celebrate our (pup's) 3rd birthday! We moved to Vancouver in December and found this park two months later. Our (pup) visits almost every day and has such a wonderful time. It really is one of the best dog parks we have been to."
While managing public spaces comes with daily challenges and complaints, positive reminders like this completely reset our perspective. Knowing that these parks provide a safe, joyful daily haven for families and their dogs warms our hearts.
To the generous donor: you know who you are, and we want to say a massive thank you for your incredible support and kindness.
Burgerville and DogPaw—what a sweet combo!
Every fourth Saturday of the month, head over to any of the four Burgerville locations in Clark County and mention DOGPAW at checkout. A generous 20% of your purchase will be donated directly to support our dog parks!
This amazing collaboration all started because a Burgerville employee who frequents Ike Memorial Park struck up a friendship with a fellow park goer, Anouchka (who now serves on our Board of Directors). Thank you both for sparking this connection!
Since kicking off back in May, this partnership has already generated over $3,000 for DogPaw! We cannot thank Burgerville and our incredible community enough for the ongoing support.

This store will constantly be evolving, with new designs added over time.
On April 11, a fearless team of volunteers descended on Kane Memorial Dog Park, wielding chainsaws, pruners, rakes, saws, roofing supplies, and plenty of muscle!
Led by Mark and his awesome family, the crew accomplished an incredible amount of work, including:
Replacing the entire roof structure over the bulletin boards
Spreading multiple loads of gravel
Pruning countless trees and clearing away blackberry vines
Stomping down all the tree debris to pack the roll-off dumpster
It is truly amazing what teamwork can achieve. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up to help make this happen!
DAKOTA MEMORIAL DOG PARK
On June 13, a beautiful Saturday morning, DogPaw hosted its 3rd Annual Community Vendor Event. We welcomed over 40 fantastic vendors—including local humane societies, veterinarians, animal control, unique gift shops, and other businesses who simply love our dog parks.
Unfortunately, the wind had a plan of its own! Despite tents being safely weighted down, the powerful gusts didn't care, and we had to cut the event a bit short as items started flying.
Even with the early ending, we want to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, dropped by to support us, and, of course, our incredible volunteers.
LUCKY MEMORIAL DOG PARK
Have you noticed that "Lucky Lake" has finally disappeared? We are hoping it's gone for good, thanks to the loads of gravel spread in front of the bulletin board by our park manager, Bill, and his fantastic group of volunteers!
IKE MEMORIAL DOG PARK
Huge high paw to Micah Nichols troop 479 for his Eagle Scout project. He gifted Ike Memorial Dog Park with a map that he designed, crafted, finished and installed. This fun sign will be enjoyed for years to come!
Board Updates
Join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest board members: Stef, Chris, Jamie, and Anouchka! We are thrilled to channel their energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives into our mission. Thank you all for stepping up and dedicating your time to our shared love for dogs.
