The Passing of Pastor Ford Bond
We at Metro Ministries extend our deepest sympathies to the congregation of Amity UMC and to Pastor Jan Bond, senior pastor of Fountaintown and Liberty UMC in Shelby County. Pastor Ford Bond passed away on Monday, May 24th. Pastor Ford has been serving with Amity since 2016 and has served as a full-time local pastor in numerous churches across the Indiana Conference since 1997.
We pray for comfort for Pastor Jan, the Bond family the folks at Amity, Fountaintown and Liberty UMCs, and all the lives Pastor Ford has touched throughout his many years of faithful service.

Shout Out: Christian Family Credit Union
We at Metro Ministries are so excited that Christian Family Credit Union has chosen our organization as part of their Change for Good initiative!
The financial institution made the decision this year to partner with a non-profit organization in Indiana, as well as one in each of their office locations in Ohio, as their way of giving back to the communities they serve. They chose Metro Ministries as the Indiana organization to support! With each new personal account opened in Indiana, they will make a $50 donation to our Grants programs. They will also make a $10 donation for every $10,000 in new loans made.
For more than 80 years Christian Family Credit Union, formerly known as United Methodist Financial Credit Union, has been providing banking and financial services to local churches, clergy, members and employees of local churches, as well as Conference staff and affiliated organizations in the Indiana Conference.
The organization continues under their new brand to meet financial services needs for these same folks, with Jason Fishburn continuing his work as Member Experience Officer. If you, a family member or your church is in need of banking or financial services, I encourage you to contact Jason at (317) 677-2191.
A huge Thank You! to Jason and everyone at Christian Family Credit Union! We appreciate your support of Metro's work in Central Indiana!

FOOD RESOURCES
Community Compass
Community Compass is a tool created by Indy Hunger Network and has two key ways to connect individuals with food resources near them. The first is an app for smart phones that automically provides food resources based on where the individual is. The second is the ability to text for food resources if an individual does not have a smart phone. Check out details of Community Compass. This is a very valuable tool but does not currently include all food pantries beyond Marion County.
Listing of Central Indiana Food Pantries
We received a couple of updates to the listing we published last week. You can download the updated listing HERE or from Metro's website's Resources Hub.Please let us know if you have food resources to add or update. We will make updates to this list on a quarterly basis.
