Erin’s Law Brings Abuse Prevention Lessons
to the Classroom

As classrooms are filled once again, there’s more on the back-to-school checklist than pencils and notebooks. Student safety is front and center as schools in Illinois and across the country implement a powerful tool to protect children: Erin’s Law.

Born from one survivor’s determination, this law ensures that every
student, from preschool to high school, learns age-appropriate lessons
on recognizing, resisting, and reporting sexual abuse, while also
equipping teachers, parents, and caregivers with the knowledge to
help keep kids safe.

Awareness, prevention, and open communication about personal body safety are keys to empowering students. When schools, families, and communities work together, we can protect children and keep them safe. Learn more about Erin's Law and find resources for parents, children,
and teachers

Because of You, Kids Found Joy This Summer

Your support of the Joy Project gave youth staying in our Emergency Shelters the chance to simply be kids—sharing good times at the movies and neighborhood festivals, fun at trampoline parks and amusement centers, and treats at ice cream outings and backyard BBQs. These moments created lasting memories and strengthened bonds with peers and caring staff, all thanks to you. Learn how you can make an impact.
