Meet Our Newest Board Member
John Kinn brings extensive leadership experience in administration, management, and community service, along with a strong commitment to serving others. He has served on the Tiffin University Board of Trustees and several other local boards, and is passionate about expanding WNL's reach into the Fostoria and Tiffin communities.
Recent Mentee Milestones
June brought many exciting milestones for our mentees as they continued making meaningful progress. Achievements included purchasing a car, earning a CDCA license, completing PRS coursework, enrolling in college to study social work, moving into sober living, securing an apartment, and receiving a job promotion. We also celebrated one mentee who shared their journey with our Executive Board which was a powerful reminder of the growth, resilience, and ripple effect of hope that mentoring can create.
Nothing warms our heart more than when our friends stop in to see us.❤️ Zach and Kyle were among our very first mentees, and seeing them today reminds us just how powerful hope, perseverance, and support can be. We are so proud them, the progress they have made and the lives they continue to build for themselves and their families.
We were honored to present at Birchaven Village and share the impact of Welcome to a New Life. It was especially meaningful to recognize our co-founders, Stan Kujawa and Puck Rowe, whose vision and dedication continue to create a ripple effect of hope and transformation throughout our community.

The Empty Seat Beside Me
The Empty Seat Beside Me has been all over the community this month! Thanks to Hancock Public Health, The Hancock Hotel, FOCUS, The Hancock County Sheriff's Office, and St. Mark's for showcasing our organization!
The Empty Seat Beside Me serves as a representation of someone in Hancock County who is working hard to change their life - but who is waiting for a Mentor. Someone to encourage them, give them hope, and a chance to break the cycle. Could YOU be that person for someone?
Currently, you can find the Seat at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church!
Interested in becoming a mentor? Contact Jayme at mentors@welcometoanewlife.org or visit our website to learn about what it means to be a mentor with Welcome to a New Life!
A huge thank you to these amazing volunteers from St. Marks Findlay for including us in your Super Service Saturday!
We are so grateful to Heather Holben and her Joy Team (Facebook group: Spreading Joy, Kindness, and Gratitude) for the beautiful encouraging cards they created for our mentors and mentees! 💙 Made by kids, teens, adults, and individuals with disabilities, these thoughtful cards are spreading joy, kindness, and gratitude throughout our community.
We love when our friends come in with their kiddos and pick out books! Thank you to the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library for this meaningful collaboration!
Another day painting with Awakening Minds Art! We always love collaborating with them, and we're already looking forward to our next creative session!
Recently some our WNL Mentors and Staff had a lovely day out for lunch and pottery painting! It's great for our Mentors to be able to connect with each other and talk about their experience with WNL.
