The Apprenticeship Maryland Program/Tech Jobs Rule (AMP/TJR) and the Dr. James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center (FCTC) want local companies to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program for the 2025-2026 school year. Apprenticeships will begin between June and September 2025, and we don't want you to miss out! NEWS: (CSM) Board of Trustees approved new board leadership during its meeting in June, following a recommendation presented by Trustee Cathy Allen, Chair of the Nominating Committee. The board unanimously elected Sonja Cox of St. Mary’s County as Chair, Christy Lombardi of Calvert County as Vice Chair, and named Shawn Coates of Charles County as Immediate Past Chair. Each trustee will serve a three-year term leading the board as it continues advancing CSM’s mission to transform lives and strengthen communities throughout Southern Maryland.

Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program 2026 - How to Apply Webinars & Application: Program Description - The Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 grant program provides grants to small and mid-sized Maryland manufacturers to invest in Industry 4.0-related technologies, machinery and robotics, and digital business practices in order to remain competitive and drive growth. 20% of the funds will be reserved for small manufacturers with 3-50 employees.

August 1-2, 2025, 52nd Annual Governor's Cup Yacht Race - With a 68.6-nautical-mile main race course from Annapolis, three other race routes are available to area sailors, all finishing at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The community is welcome to join in the activities planned on the College’s waterfront on Saturday, August 2, featuring food, music and family fun.
· Non-racers are welcome to kick off the finish activities at the College, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) presents “Summer Serenades” in the Nancy R. & Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center on campus. The “pay-what-you-wish” concert is offered as part of the BSO’s “Music for Maryland.” Tickets are going fast, book in advance, online at www.smcm.edu/dodge.
