We’re Low on Sack Lunches, Can You Help?
Did you know that we give out 600–900 sack lunches every week, in addition to our hot meal service? Many of our guests must walk long distances for food, so being able to take one with them helps them get through the day.
Right now, we’re short on sack lunches and need more volunteers to sign up. If you can make any number of lunches, it would make a big difference. This is a wonderful project for families, faith groups, or friends to do together.
Each lunch should include:
Sandwich – PB&J or another type of deli sandwich
Fruit – fruit cup, cut fruit, or soft fruit (no apples, please)
Wrapped Snack – chips, string cheese, cookie, granola bar, or another nonperishable snack
You can prepare whatever quantity works for you. Many people also enjoy decorating the bags with encouraging messages for our guests.
👉 Please sign up through our volunteer portal. If you have any questions, email us at info@blanchethouse.org.
Thank you for stepping up to help when it’s needed most!
