Downtown is beautiful and bustling with activity. Whether you haven’t been here in months or are back in the office regularly, we invite you to take full advantage of the programming we’ve got planned all summer long in the center city.

As part of our recovery strategy, we’re producing a wide range of events downtown to bring locals back and create a vibrant, welcoming setting for workers and residents. Our long-standing Downtown Summer Sounds Concert Series is bigger than ever, featuring more concerts and more genres at more locations than ever before. The series runs through September, with some big concerts coming in mid-September at some special venues as part of our second round of Welcome Back Weeks.

Each week in August, we’re hosting Wine Down Wednesdays in Westlake Park from 5-8 p.m. Grab some friends or colleagues and join us for a glass of wine or beer. We’ll have a DJ on hand mixing tunes and the karaoke machine will be fired up for anyone ready to take the stage.

Through September, we’re offering free guided urban hikes through a partnership with Global Family Travels. Experience the retail core or the waterfront like you never have before. We’re also launching a bike tour for those who want to check out the city on wheels (and explore our city’s bike lane network). Or, you can make exploring our city a game by checking out our custom-created scavenger hunts. Simply download our app and participate whenever it works for you.

In September we’ll bring Beers and Bites to Occidental Square following a successful run in July during our Welcome Back Weeks. This three-day event, on Sept. 17–19, brings together the best of Seattle in summer: local beer and wine, food trucks and family-friendly games and entertainment from local artists.

In addition to signature events, we’re continuing our regular programming in Occidental Square and Westlake Park. From buskers and ping pong to sand castles and hydroplanes, there’s something for everyone. To receive our weekly parks newsletter, subscribe here.

Have an event or special of your own you’d like to promote? Tell us about it, and we’ll post details to help get the word out.

We hope to see you downtown soon!
