Strength from a New Pentecost

...Do not be confused nor forget that all that you see and live will pass.  And that you are to live for this eternity – for the Divine embrace that will surround you and fill you and heal you and in which you will find everything that your heart desires.

Not here, children – on this earth that is now full of sin and death for the spirit.

The earth itself groans, children, at seeing such great offenses against the Heart of God.  And the earth itself will be renewed, made beautiful, purified, to be a worthy home and vessel for the Renewed Church, for the new heavens and the new earth.

Children, now more than ever, renew your HOPE by means of your FAITH in what We say to you and in what We do on your behalf.

LOOK UP TO HEAVEN, TO THE HOME THAT IS PREPARED FOR YOU FROM THE BEGINNING.

Lay aside the human longings and elevate them, through your FAITH and pure and Holy HOPE, into longings for God, longings of eternity.

The rest passes away, and how quickly it passes!

Mission of Divine Mercy

Continued Prayers for Our Country

We continue to pray for our country and for our newly elected president. May there be a peaceful transition of power.  We pray that through the action of God's grace, divisions are healed and we become one nation under God.

Preparing the Msgr. O’Callaghan Center for Mass

OCC%20MASS.JPG

This year as we prepare  St.Joseph Chapel for cold weather,  we have had to consider the "problem" of our larger Sunday congregations. Our decision is to temporarily move our Sunday Mass into the Msgr. O’Callaghan Center.  The projected date for the first Mass in the OCC is Dec.1, the first Sunday of Advent.

The publication of the Messages has resulted in larger congregations, particularly  for Sunday Mass. Often people are coming on pilgrimage from great distances, from across the country and even outside the country.

During the warm weather we are able to expand St. Joseph Chapel to handle the larger numbers by removing the windows and providing additional shade on both sides of the chapel. But when the weather gets cold and we reinstall the side walls, our capacity is much more limited.

Looking ahead, we want to make sure that no one is left out in the cold (and it can get surprisingly cold!) because the Chapel is too full. We are particularly mindful of those people who are already making great sacrifices of time and money just to get here.

Only Sunday Mass will be celebrated at the OCC; Saturday and weekday Masses will continue at St. Joseph Chapel.

For those who love St. Joseph Chapel--as we all do--this is not a perfect solution. But it will not be the first time that the OCC is used for Mass. In 2015 when we replaced the mulch floor in St. Joseph’s with a real floor, we had to use the OCC for a few months. It worked surprisingly well!

JESUS, WE TRUST IN YOU.

Defending the Faith and the Problem of Schism

Mazza.png

What is legitimate criticism of the hierarchy by the faithful and what is schismatic conduct? How should the conduct of Archbishop Vigano and that of others in these matters be considered? In an interview with Robert Moynihan, Church historian Dr. Edmund Mazza discusses these challenging questions and what eminent Church theologians and canonists have to say about them. We believe this interview can be helpful in understanding both the crisis in the Church in general and our situation at MDM in particular.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:
