As we head into cold and flu season, do you know what you can be doing to help boost your immunity naturally?  This month we will discuss what foods and activities can help boost our Immune system, and what factors depress our immunity. We will meet on Wednesday, November 16th from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Eberle conference room at the hospital. You can call 620-767-6811 ext. 148 or email szeigler@mrcohosp.com and rsvp for lunch (It's a traditional turkey dinner this week!) or let Stacy know that you are interested in a 9:30 AM Coffee Crew option!

Winter weather can be extra hard on seniors living alone and keeping them indoors more than they would like. Studies show that isolation can put their emotional, mental and even physical health at risk. Not only is it more difficult for the elderly to leave without risking dangers like the cold, dangerous driving conditions, and falls, but it’s also harder for visitors to reach them. Grocery shopping can be difficult and that can affect senior nutrition. The winter blues can cause loneliness and social isolation in our seniors and it may be a good time to check into Assisted Living options. Although it can be tough to leave your home behind, the benefits of social interactions, activities, and home-cooked meals can certainly increase one's health and happiness! If you're not ready to leave your home behind, we also have fully furnished Respite apartments allowing you a temporary space to help you get through the winter! And don't forget--your pet is welcome too!
Do you know someone who would benefit from this unique living style? We have apartments open and ready to move in. Give us a call to schedule a tour and see what makes Morris County Assisted Living a warm place to call home! 620-767-5600

Thank you to everyone who helped organize a fundraiser for the 3D mammography campaign during the month of October! And thank you to everyone who supported those fundraisers, donated money, bought goods, and took a chance on raffle tickets! It was great to see so much pink and generous donations.
