TPP – NAWCAD - NAVAIR - TECH BRIDGE
8 - 10 July, 2025 NCMS Sustainment Accelerator: COMFRC - In partnership with the US Navy Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), NavalX Southern Maryland (SOMD) Tech Bridge, and local student STEM programs, NCMS is hosting a Sustainment Accelerator. Industry and academic partners are invited to share potential innovations in technology that can support the Navy’s needs, and to demonstrate their technologies to DOD leadership in real-time. Exhibitions of special interest to local STEM students. Venue: The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum. Registration deadline is June 30th. The Apprenticeship Maryland Program/Tech Jobs Rule (AMP/TJR) and the Dr. James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center (FCTC) want local companies to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program for the 2025-2026 school year. Apprenticeships will begin between June and September 2025, and we don't want you to miss out! NEWS: CSM Named ‘Member of the Year’ by The Patuxent Partnership (TPP), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing science, technology, and growing the STEM workforce pipeline in Southern Maryland. The announcement came during TPP’s Annual Dinner on June 3, held in Historic St. Mary’s City. The event brought together more than 300 members and guests, including special guest speaker Vice Admiral Carl Chebi, Commander of NAVAIR.
CSM President Dr. Yolanda Wilson accepted the award on behalf of the college and expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership between CSM and TPP.
“This partnership has enabled us to think bigger and respond quicker to the needs facing our communities.”
