We are so Grateful: Over $1M Raised!
What an incredible Giving Tuesday and holiday season! In December alone, the Foundation received over $250,000 thanks to the generosity of families and matching employers.
Thanks to you, we're 70% of the way to funding teaching positions for next year.
With your continued support through June 30, we can reach the finish line. |

LOSD AP School Honor Roll Recognition – Congratulations!
The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools delivering strong AP outcomes while expanding access. This year, only 30% of eligible high schools nationwide were recognized, and just 6% earned Gold status.
Congratulations to LHS and LOHS who earned Gold in College Culture and Platinum in College Credit and College Optimization. |
Federal Tax Update: What’s Changing for Charitable Giving
Beginning in 2026, federal tax changes may affect our donors - and there are some positives!
The approximately 75% of Lake Oswego households who do not itemize deductions will now be eligible to deduct charitable gifts—up to $1,000 for individuals and $2,000 for married couples.
For donors who itemize, the law introduces a modest reduction in tax advantage for larger gifts, including a new Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) floor (.5%) and a lower deduction cap (35% instead of 37%).
No matter how or why you give, your support continues to make a meaningful difference for students across Lake Oswego. |
