April is Black Recreation Month
No one survives by accident. We have learned to make subsistence an art form. To find glimpses of pleasure, against the oasis we call the everyday. It is a long wish for an opening, through and against the arbitrary distinction of sacred and secular; yours and mine. The activity required to produce and sustain a life is an act of genius and collaboration. Won't you celebrate with me?
This month is all about Black Recreation, a term we are using to describe all the ways we work, play, and find joy in public and private spaces. Our featured guests will include Kendra Lara, Laury Lucien, Kijana Rose, Quenton Baker, and Malcolm Tariq.
