Summer 2026: Impact in Action

Summer is in nearly over, and there is plenty happening at Impact100 Nashville. From grantmaking and membership to upcoming events and new leadership, the organization continues to bring women together to make a meaningful difference in the Nashville community.

There Is No “Just” in Being an Impact100 Member

Impact100 Global's Founder and CEO Wendy Steele recently shared a message in her monthly newsletter that captures the heart of what it means to be an Impact100 member.

Every so often, Wendy recounts a woman saying something like, “I’m not really involved. I’m just a member.”

That may resonate. You may not serve on the board or chair a committee. She may not attend every event, because your life may be full of work, family responsibilities, travel, or caregiving.

Still, Wendy gently reminds us to stop saying the word just.

Your gift matters. Your vote has power. And your participation sends a message to every other woman watching.

There is no “just” in being an Impact100 member.
Being a member is everything.

That spirit is at the heart of Impact100 Nashville. Every member makes the collective impact possible—and every contribution, vote, conversation and connection matters.

Grants Update: The Work Is Underway

Impact100 Nashville has officially moved into the next stage of its 2026 grant cycle.

Under the leadership of new Grants Chair Lisa Bonick, the Grants Committee reviewed 108 Letters of Interest and invited 31 nonprofit organizations to submit full grant applications. Applications are due August 28.

A special thank-you goes to the Impact100 leaders who have helped organize Focus Areas and review the Letters of Interest:

  • Arts & Culture - Jackie Thomas
  • Education - Lisa Link
  • Environment, Preservation, Recreation - Ellen Blix
  • Family - Cathy Lucas
  • Health & Wellness - Nancy Schultz

What's Next?

  • August 28: Grant applications are due
  • September: Watch for updates on how to help review grants
  • October: Site visits are expected to be scheduled later in the month
  • November 10: The Big Give Voting and Awards Presentation

The grantmaking process is one of the most meaningful ways members can see their collective giving in action. More updates will be shared as the process moves forward.
