THE MISSION IS CLOSED TODAY FRIDAY, NOV. 24TH
THERE IS NO MASS TODAY
__
N0 Mass next Tuesday, Nov. 28. Father John Mary will be concelebrating a funeral Mass for Lia Broussard at Sts. Peter & Paul. Those who attend Mass at the Mission will recognize Lia as the smiling woman in the wheelchair in the back of the Chapel. With her family we mourn her passing, but celebrate her entrance into Eternal Life.
Are you feeling battle-weary; demoralized by the events of our world and our Church? Are you tempted to just sink down and let the waves of tumult wash over you? We urge you to remain standing for the sake of your brothers and sisters.
How to do this?
By recollecting yourself interiorly and repeating the Name of Jesus. This is your strength!
To recollect yourself interiorlyis to enter into the sacred dwelling of your interior. Into the deepest part of your being where He dwells, where the Trinity is Present. This is an act of Faith, Humility and Obedience, and it is your refuge. It is to enter into TRUTH, into REALITY. It is to unite yourself to the Trinity and receive Their Love. IT IS TO BE ANCHORED TO ALL HEAVEN.
To remain standing means to be alert to the Voice of Jesus, and ready to obey. Standing because you are His child, His soldier. Standing without fear, because you carry Him within you. Standing witness to the Truth. Standing as a sign and safeguard for your brothers and sisters. Standing with the Heavenly Hosts. Standing to receive your KING!
To have His Name in your heartand to repeat it means to have Jesus present in your thinking, willing and acting. His Name is Protection, Light and Grace. Saying the Name of Jesus with love draws a smile from Heaven. Saying His Name with absolute Trust and Faith makes every demon and filth flee.
ALL GLORY AND HONOR BE TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, KING OF THE UNIVERSE. At His Name every knee must bend in eaven, on earth and under the earth.
November 24, 2023 Mission of Divine Mercy
Celebrating 22 Years with many, many friends!
To all of you who were able to join us for Mass on our special day: Thank you! Your presence made us very happy!
With St. John Paul II looking over one shoulder and Msgr. O'Callaghan peering over another, the Community shows off the amazing cupcake renditions of our Emblem and logo, created by Kafekali Bakery and Coffee Shop in honor of our anniversary.Susannah said grace so people could dig in. Kafekali also provided the delicious sandwiches. But we should have ordered more to feed our unexpectedly large crowd. We could have used a loaves and fishes miracle!Mother Magdalene emceed a brief and highly entertaining historical review of MDM's journey from deep South Texas, to New Braunfels, to the Mission property, concluding with photos of the new residence being built for the Sisters. Fr. John Mary drew attention to the fact that this year marked Mother Magdalene's 50th year of religious life, Sr. Amapola was celebrating 25 +1, and Susannah recently made her First Commitment as a Consecrated Laywoman signaling her entrance into MDM as a full member. Perhaps, he mused, the house was God's gift to them in thanksgiving for their Gift to Him.
Just a few of the friends who helped us to celebrate...We saved the Three Wise Men for last!
Help Us Get to Know You Better Add Your Photo to Your Profile!
You are now able to create your own Personal Information Profile (PIP) from our website. [Just go to LOGIN] Your PIP allows you to manage your communication preferences and monitor your financial contributions to MDM. But you can also add your photo, or your family photo; this is something we really encourage you to do! This allows us to put faces and names together, which is very helpful since we are always meeting new people. It is also a way for us to see the faces of friends who never get to visit.
Confession is heard Saturday mornings by appointment, and on Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:45 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary
MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You" ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:
Dear Jesus, I pray for your Bride, the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church. I pray for her special sons, the successors to Your first Apostles, that they may serve Her courageously as true Shepherds of the flock. ~ E. ***** For a special intention heavy on my heart.~ Anonymous *****
Dear Lord, we ask You, Who always hears us, for Bryan Guerrero's health. He is very young and suffers from cancer. May Your will be done.~Teresa

Jesus, I trust in You. ~ David

I am trying very hard to be a better Christian but seem to be slipping in the last month and losing hope. I feel comfort since finding and doing The Divine Chaplet the last several months but have gotten out of the habit this last few weeks so getting back to it. ~ Anonymous
