Are you interested in participating on the Friends of Valle de Oro's Education Committee? We need folks who would like to help the refuge staff keep the education programs active at Valle de Oro. Duties of this committee include:
Managing the Opening Doors to Nature Scholarship program
Assisting with refuge education events like Mountain View Field Day.
Soon, developing some simple education programs to provide to school groups coming to the refuge
Develop training on these programs for Friends volunteers.

EcoExplorers Join us for a free, four-week ecology class for ages 8–11 at 10 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 4–25. Explore Valle de Oro’s wetlands, grasslands, and bosque through hands-on activities, walks, stories, and videos. Students will learn how these habitats support wildlife and why protecting them matters. Space is limited to 10 students. Registration required. Please email jennyparsons@gmail.com
