Dear Fellow Retirees & Retirees in Training,

There is A LOT IN HERE!

So DC37 is at it again.   Hosting an event and not inviting us to the conversation.   We have said it numerous time.  If you are not at the table, you are on the MENU!

Henry Garrido invited the entire City Council to attend an event at DC37 headquarters on December 16th at 3 pm.  We need to be there about 2 pm, and in the words of Congresswoman Shirley Chisolm, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring your own folding chair."  And that we will.    

We will NOT allow Henry Garrido or ANY union leader to once again leave out of the conversation the population most affected by Intro 1096 - CURRENT RETIREES! 

We also will NOT ALLOW him to continue to perpetuate the BIG LIE, that unions represent CURRENT RERTIREES.  The disrespect is breathtaking. 

Unions ALWAYS protected current retirees until recently, when they thought it would be a good idea to liquidate our earned and promised healthcare to finance their raises.   

They had a solemn duty to protect current retirees and their vested healthcare.  This was once a core value of unionism!  

It's a disgrace they won't protect us, but if they are going to be a predator to retired unionists, we will be forced to protect ourselves! 

City Council members have been fed lie after lie and they have largely refused to protect this vulnerable population.  The time to end this is NOW. JOIN US 12/16 at 2 PM (LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED) TO DENOUNCE HENRY INTERFERING IN OUR LEGISLATION AND DEMAND WE BE ALLOWED IN THAT MEETING WITH COUNCIL.

Imagine this...  the MLC/UFT/DC37/Sanit/CWA/L237 lawyer tells a room full of union leaders intro 1099-2023 was not illegal, but if the City had to pay for Current Retirees, it would be LESS they would spend on them!   FACT...  Hear it below in the first video.
