Congratulations to Victoria Piecara, 2026 Delaware Epilepsy Warrior Award winner! Victoria's son lives with epilepsy and she passionately spreads awareness to family, friends, and at her son's school, where she organized a seizure awareness assembly and implemented dress down Fridays during Epilepsy Awareness Month, with donations going to EFDE. She created a virtual support group for parents of warriors as a space for connection, shared experiences, and reassurance for those navigating this journey. Victoria is a voice when others feel overwhelmed and an advocate on behalf of her son and those living with epilepsy. Last, but not least, she annually organizes the largest team at EFDE's 5K North. Victoria, thank you for all that you do for the epilepsy community in Delaware!
A Treasure Chest of Fun
A barrel of thanks to the crew who came out for our Afternoon With EFDE: Pirate's Paradise. A jolly good time was had by all, and we thank our dedicated committee, our loyal sponsors (Nemours Children's Health, UCB, Schell Brothers, Clean Energy USA, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and Neurelis), the talented musicians of Minus 2 Plus 1, all those who donated to the auction and raffles, those who won some awesome prizes, and to Mulligans for hosting our event. A big thank you to everyone who has made a gift to the 2025-2026 EFDE Annual Fund! Your generosity is essential in providing EFDE the resources to continue providing educational and support programs, such as the annual conference and CDSMP, monthly Meet & Greets, Seizure First Aid Training to any organization throughout the state, and transportation for those unable to drive. These are just a few of the things we do, thanks to your support, and even more remarkable is that all services and resources are provided for free. Keep in mind, no gift is too small and will make an impact. A shout out and thank you to April's donors:
