Bringing Science Olympiad Joy to Guatemala 🌎
In March 2025, longtime Pembroke Hill team coach Brandon Gillette, his wife Kristin, and their children Benton and Loren brought the spirit of Science Olympiad to students at Remy’s Legacy Academy in Guatemala. The family led hands-on STEM activities, including a Tower Building Challenge that introduced engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving. Using their Spanish skills, Benton and Loren helped students build and test balsa towers - sharing the excitement of Science Olympiad across cultures. We could not be more proud of the Gillette family and the passion for Science Olympiad. The academy is named for a Pembroke Hill and Georgetown alumnus, Remington Williams, who was active in the Kansas City community. For more information on Remy’s Legacy Academy you can reach out to Brandon here.
