New and Expanded Categories Announced for the 2026 Awards of Excellence!

The Atlanta Press Club is excited to share updates to the 2026 Atlanta Press Club Awards of Excellence. The updated categories offer clearer distinctions across digital, video, broadcast, and podcast formats, including new and refined areas such as Breaking News, Video Shorts, Digital Enterprise, and expanded Podcast categories. We’ve also added new subject-matter awards in Tech and Business Reporting, Sports Journalism, and Collegiate News while refining Arts, Culture, and Narrative categories for greater clarity.

These updates aim to modernize the program, reflect emerging storytelling formats, and ensure our awards continue to celebrate excellence across the full breadth of journalism in Georgia.  APC Continues Partnership with A-Mark Foundation to Award Cash Prizes for Investigative Reporting for the 2026 Awards of Excellence

The Atlanta Press Club is pleased to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with the A-Mark Foundation for the 2026 Awards of Excellence. This continued collaboration enhances the club’s long-standing commitment to honoring the best in journalism by offering cash prizes for the Investigative Reporting category, a key component of the awards.

The A-Mark Foundation, a prominent supporter of journalism and civic engagement, is dedicated to funding projects and initiatives that foster a better understanding of democracy and governance. Through this partnership, APC can provide monetary awards to investigative reporters whose work has made a significant impact on society.
