Dear Leontia,

After more than a decade of war, Syria stands at a fragile crossroads. The fall of the Assad regime has started a new political chapter, prompting refugees to return home. In the nation they return to, however, neighborhoods lie in ruins, basic infrastructure is shattered, and once-thriving communities have been displaced, fragmented, or decimated. As Syria transitions into a new political era, vulnerable minorities remain caught between hope for peaceful coexistence and fear of marginalization or persecution.

Amidst this backdrop of change, Multifaith Alliance has nearly a decade of experience serving the most vulnerable communities in and around Syria. With established, trusted relationships across religious and cultural lines, we work closely with local partners to understand the unique needs of diverse populations. We are expanding our footprint to strategically fill gaps for returnees, with particular support for minority communities at risk. These sustainable reconstruction efforts help restore identity, dignity, and stability after years of violence and trauma.

We are on the ground identifying needs, providing health services, distributing medical supplies to partner health facilities, and distributing essential aid to families in need. Our team’s presence and partnerships allow us to respond quickly and effectively as conditions evolve.

Watch the video below to see how our efforts are restoring dignity and stability for Syrians like Ms. Eskaief, who have suffered for far too long.

Multifaith Alliance Rebuilds Aleppo

We’re helping families in Aleppo make essential home repairs after years of displacement and war. Like Ms. Eskaief and her family, many are returning to barely livable homes with broken windows, no electricity, or no running water. Through our Rebuild Aleppo initiative, we’re offering up to $2,000 per family to cover critical repairs like fixing doors and windows, restoring interiors, installing solar panels, and ensuring access to clean water. Local workers handle the repairs, which are typically completed in about a week.
