Hello Landlover,

For many it has been the lazy days of summer. Whether you have been hanging around our amazing pools to try and keep cool, or traveling, we are all very fortunate to be able to enjoy such a wonderful life!

For your Landings Landlovers (LL) Board it has also been a busy 3 months of planning for the upcoming year.  We are now officially in our 51st year, and it has the potential to be one of the largest yet! Your Board of Directors have jumped right into their positions and have laid the groundwork for all of our major Fundraising events. Quite an accomplishment in a short period of time. They all deserve a huge Thank you!

We are pleased to share with you the dates for all our major events for 2025-2026.

Opening Reception: Sep. 15 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Palmetto Club. Please join us for light bites, and a member/cash bar, as you peruse what the amazing organizations in our Community do. It is always a fun evening and great way for new folks to learn about our non-profits and sign up to volunteer. Please invite friends that you think would like to attend! This fun night is organized by our Fundraising Directors, Barb Clark and Linda Alper contact them at here

Holiday Golf Cart Parade: Dec 7 beginning at 3:00 pm. This is always a Community favorite, and this year promises to be even bigger and better with a few new surprises! Karen Duncan is the organizer. Contact her here.

Flea Market: March 14, with early intake available on 2 days for your convenience, Mar. 12 and 13. Last year's Flea Market proved to be a huge success, both in terms of the new way it was organized, and in the revenue. Both sales and profit were larger than in the past five years! 2026 is on the way to even more improvements and profits! Please contact Janie Florenz with any questions and to volunteer, here.

Auction Mania: March 19, at the Palmetto Club. Lot's of new ideas and plans are in the works for the 2026 event. Exciting items that have never been offered, a new and improved bidding system, and expanded attendance.  Something that you will not want to miss! Our organizers are happy to answer questions, and look at any items that you may have to donate. Contact Judi Threlfall or Christin Street.

Tour of Homes: May 2 is the date of the bi-annual event. This year is already being planned and will prove to be one of our largest yet! Under the guidance of our Fundraising Directors; Chris Rudy & Sheila Towson, under the Chairpersons of Holly Taylor and Kathy Collura, there is no doubt that it will be a very successful event!

Each of these events are huge undertakings, the time and work that goes into organizing them takes all year. Without volunteers to assist it is not possible to implement these plans, please consider helping our Community. You can contact the individuals listed with questions and to sign up.  Keep in mind that all the proceeds are given back to other nonprofits, and students that are connected to our Community.
