It has been a while since we have given you an update on the Sisters' new house---a few other things have been claiming our time and attention!  Despite the to-be-expected unexpected delays and the arrival of broken fixtures and appliances, the house is moving forward, according to the Building Team that meets weekly at St. Raphael's to go over their check list. Even slow progress is progress.

Recently Mother Magdalene and Sister Amapola stopped by to do their regular inspection. Our photo tour shows:

  • The Sisters approaching the front door.
  • Checking on what's cooking in the kitchen.
  • Mother Magdalene admiring the view from a window in the chapel.
  • Taking the stairs to the second floor.
  • Photographing an area for future comparison.
  • Sister Amapola inspecting  the fire escape.

It still looks to be a few months before the Sisters can move in.  But we are getting  close.  Please keep this project in your prayers.

Jesus, we trust in You.

JULY AT THE MISSION

During the month of July, the Mission office and grounds will be open to visitors during weekday office hours, but the only activities or services will be Sunday Masses at 9 AM.

HEARING ASSISTANCE AT MASS  Hearing assistance for those who have difficulty hearing the Mass at St. Joseph Chapel is now available through the listener's cell phone. It requires the listener to download an app to their cell phone and to bring their own headphones or earbuds.

We have also begun offering  a simultaneous translation of  Father's Sunday homilies in Spanish. (Only the homily will be translated into Spanish, not the entire Mass.)

People are available at the Welcome Table after Mass to

  • answer all questions (English and Spanish)
  • help download and install the Listen Everywhere App
  • connect to the local WIFI.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

Jesus, we trust in you! I consecrate my life, my family and friends and everything I have to your loving mercy! We love you Jesus! ~Anonymous

Jesus I trust in You my dear sweet Jesus. Please assist us all in this lost world. ~ Anonymous

Jesus, I trust in you. Have mercy on me, a poor sinner. This powerful prayer repeated throughout the day comforts me and is a shield when fending off evil. Thank you for sharing your messages with the world. In a world where things make less and less sense everyday, the messages sent through your community gives us hope. ~Anonymous

Thank you for giving us hope, for strengthening us. Here in France, in Normandy, in Granville, I translate Sister Amapola's messages into French, I photocopy them or send them by email to encourage all those around me who believe like children. May we rediscover the FAITH of the apostles and experience this new Pentecost announced by our Most Holy Mother and the Most Holy Trinity. For this blessed hope that you have given us, may God keep you and protect you in all your paths.~Sébastien
