Heartline and Heart House
Winter 2025 Newsletter
From The Director's Desk: Thank You!
Come and see what this community has done!
2024 was another outstanding year in the services that were provided, thanks to people like you! Heartline and Heart House is 99% community funded. Because of your support we were able to serve many Woodford County residents with needs to keep them in their homes.
38 families received rent assistance
34 families received utility assistance
117 families received transportation assistance
135 food boxes given out
140 bags of paper products and diapers given out
266 children were helped with new school supplies through Operation Backpack
269 children were helped with Christmas presents through Tree of Hearts
127 homes received fire blankets
Your support also allowed us to provide a safe haven for residents of Woodford County and the city of Washington who were experiencing homelessness and/or victims of domestic violence. While residing in the shelter program residents are provided 1:1 case management and programs focused on financial/budgeting, job readiness, cooking and nutrition and parenting, as well as volunteer lead bible studies and devotions. Our goal for each family is to see them overcome their goals and get into their own housing and remain there long term.
From the bottom of our hearts, as well as our clients' hearts,
THANK YOU!
Brandi E. Gerber ~Executive Director

Community Room Addition
We are so excited to share that our community room addition is complete.
With the help of The Brown Family Foundation grant and other donations, we were able to add a storm shelter for residents and staff, a maintenance closet, and over 1000 square feet of additional community room space. We are excited to use this additional space during our Heartline programs like Operation Backpack and Tree of Hearts. We also plan to host our Annual Spaghetti Supper on Thursday, August 28th!
Thank you to our contractor, Project One, and the many volunteers who helped during this process to make this addition complete!
We Couldn't Do It Without You!
Successful Tree of Hearts Program
Our annual Tree of Hearts program was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who shopped, wrapped, and helped distribute Christmas gifts to area children in need.
Numbers for 2024 Tree of Hearts:
~ 100 Families
~269 Children
~over 2000 Gifts Distributed
We would also like to thank the volunteers who helped in our Salvation Army Kettle Bell Ringing. The Salvation Army allows 100% of the money raised in Woodford County during the bell ringing season to stay in Woodford County to assist our community! In 2024, the surrounding communities gave over $5500. With the help of the Salvation Army, we were also able to distribute 135 food boxes to area residents for Christmas.
The Tree of Hearts Program is one of Heartline's largest programs of the year and it takes many people willing to give financially and with their time to make it a success Thank you for continuing to love one another well and helping us fulfill our motto of of neighbors helping neighbors.
