Welcome to the May edition of our newsletter! April as "Earth Month", and we were incredibly busy - as I am sure you were as well! Our biggest project in April was hosting our annual Community Climate Leaders Conference, which was a HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who attended or supported the conference in one way or another. We are already beginning to plan for next year!
As always, please reach out to let us know what else we can be doing to support you or your community on the road to a healthier planet for all!
MassEnergize's Community Climate Leaders Conference:
In April, MassEnergize held its Annual Conference with over 150 participants in attendance! Participants came from near and far, from around Massachusetts and as far away as North Carolina to hear from speakers, learn from panel discussions, and participate in breakout sessions. We had over 40 cities and towns represented, as well as attendees from over 50 organizations!
The conference provided attendees with new skills to be more effective climate leaders in their communities. Prominent climate voices likeAnne Therese Gennari, author of the Climate Optimist Handbook, andDr. Sarah Das, Science Mom and Glaciologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution inspired the audience to continue their important work. Leaders from Mothers Out Front Brookline, Abode Energy, and many other organizations shared valuable wisdom that prompted attendees to take action steps.
Thank you to our speakers and thank you to all of our community members who were in attendance. This successful day is all thanks to you! And this event would not have been possible without the tremendous support from our generous sponsors!
Our #climateoptimism is strong knowing the incredible dedication to powerful solutions from those in our community and beyond.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2025! So please, save the date: we are tentatively planning on April 9, 2025.
Here are some photos from our big day! You can find many more conference photos on our website. To find videos from our conference, see our Youtube channel!
