I learned about CTF from my work with the organization during my time in the legislature. Even though I am no longer in the legislature, I realize that I can still make a difference in some small, yet profound, manner.
How has volunteering at CTF had an impact on your life?
Getting to know the individuals in the organization and witnessing their passion has served as an inspiration to me. Even more importantly, seeing the courage and strength of character in each victim as she struggles to restart her life has enriched me and made me a better person.
What is the most important thing you learned from volunteering at CTF?
That there is always hope. That with grace and prayer one can find the strength to persevere.

Monthly Informational Meeting Thursday, August 12, 2021 12:00 pm
In June, we broke ground on Marissa's Housing Project and the foundation has been finished. We anticipate a completion date of March 2022.
Safe, supportive housing is key to meeting the needs of human trafficking survivors. If victims do not feel safe and their basic needs are not met, then their chances of successfully leaving the life of human trafficking is almost impossible. Since many survivors have children, the expansion of Marissa's House will also help us re-unify families and keep them together.
Thank you to everyone who has come along side us in this Christ-led journey. We appreciate your support and prayers.
A CTF survivor says, "The experience with the amazing ladies at Call to Freedom has been the most amazing thing in my life! I have the love, support, and tools to maintain my sobriety, mental and emotional state of mind, as well as a safe roof over my head that I've been blessed to call my own for almost a year now! Without the support of Marissa's Project, I don't know where I would be today! Although the apartment is very little and safe, there just wasn't enough space for my child to come live with me. We had a slumber party once and it was fun, but we definitely were sardines! I just know this new expansion will be amazing for the moms and moms to reunite with their children at the new housing project."
Another CTF Survivor says, "I think for mothers to know that they won't have to be separated or turned away cause they have kids is one of the main ones, know that there is more safety with the freedom of having ones own personal space for them and their babies. Stability and normality."
