FROM METRO MINISTRIES, INC.

This time of year in the United Methodist Church is a time of new journeys for many pastors in the Central District, across the Indiana Conference and throughout our denomination.

Many clergy are packing up for a new appointment, and for some it's a first appointment,  likely experiencing a mix of excitement and trepidation. For others it is a time to leave one church family to go meet, learn, love and lead another church family. For others, they are packing up books, certificates, gifts and other items they've held dear for many years, as they begin their retirement chapter (or book). Others are heading into a time of sabbatical or spiritual renewal. To all clergy, clergy spouses and clergy families embarking on one of these journeys, we at Metro Ministries are praying for you.

We also pray for the clergy who are continuing in their current appointments, yet on a new journey of re-acquainting with your church spaces and re-engaging physically together with your church members. We pray for discernment for you as you walk towards and amidst your post-pandemic church and community. We pray for energy and hope for your missional priorities, and we pray for comfort and healing over programs that may not return.

Pastors, we are praying for you and yours. How else can Metro Ministries serve you during these times of change? Let us know!

Community Compass

Community Compass is a tool created by Indy Hunger Network and has two key ways to connect individuals with food resources near them. The first is an app for smart phones that automically provides food resources based on where the individual is. The second is the ability to text for food resources if an individual does not have a smart phone. Check out details of Community Compass. This is a very valuable tool but does not currently include all food pantries beyond Marion County.

Listing of Central Indiana Food Pantries

We received a couple of updates to the listing we published last week. You can download the updated listing HERE or from Metro's website's Resources Hub.Please let us know if you have food resources to add or update. We will make updates to this list on a quarterly basis.
