The 61st National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS)April 12-15, high-school students from across the country, were in Virginia Beach to present their scientific research. Teachers, mentors, parents, university faculty, and military personnel came together to celebrate the achievements of this distinguished group of students and encourage the next generation of scientists and engineers. Friday, June 16, from 6 to 9 The Mulberry Music Festival returns this summer kicking off the Juneteenth weekend for the fourth year. The College’s own Carly Harvey, SMCM Class of 2007 and “DC’s Queen of the Blues,” returns as mistress of ceremonies and guest vocalist. May 25th, 1:30 to 3:00 pm the Maryland Dove will be joining Destination Southern Maryland in Piscataway Park to celebrate the launch of the Southern Maryland National Heritage Area, featuring the Governor of Maryland as the keynote speaker!
TheMaryland Dove will be sailing to different ports of call around Chesapeake Bay in 2023, thanks to a grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority.During the Bay Tour, Maryland Dove will be open to the public for free deck tours at each of the heritage areas for one to three days at a time.
