Dear GGN,
Every morning, my heart breaks as I continue to witness more violence and bloodshed through screens. I fight the tension of wanting to throw my phone out my window, while also knowing it is a lifeline to others. In a time when it is increasingly hard to engage online, thank you for taking a moment out of your day (and busy inbox) to open our message.
I hope this newsletter is a powerful reminder of the importance of being in community and the ways we can resource ourselves to be more resilient. To be encouraged by the regenerative change that can come from joining our Good Griever community, whether online or in-person. It's easier to face collective grief when we come together, and this March, I'm inspired by the offerings our facilitators are gathering for us.
We are grateful to be offering a new 5-week series, Grief, Risk & Grace: A Decolonial and Experimental Approach. In this offering, you will be invited to deepen your conscious and unconscious awareness of the systemic patterns of power. We are prioritizing small groups, so reserve your spot soon.
This Thursday is the third Thursday of the month, so you know what that means - our monthly Collective Grieving Space is back, this time focusing on eldership in the polycrisis. Open to elders or anyone curious about eldership.
Finally, Portland (OR) and Salt Lake City: We're coming to town this April. There will be a film screening of Good Grief: The 10-Steps at the Natural History Museum of Utah, and Portland is home to our next in-person 10-Step group.
Sharing our upcoming offerings is another way to support GGN if you can't attend. We hope to be in community with you soon and appreciate you sharing our network with others. |
