Parent Perspectives: Community Feedback

Last month we hosted the parent-focused workshop, Navigating AI: Build Your Parent Playbook. Forty-five parents joined us to learn more about AI, gaining new skills and confidence to support their children.

Post-event surveys showed strong results: survey participants increased their understanding, with 100% rating their knowledge a 4/5 or 5/5 after the workshop. The presenters and overall workshop also earned high marks, with 100% rating both a 4/5 or 5/5.

Parent, Jesus L, captured the workshop in this sentiment:

“Both presenters delivered outstanding material that covered the current landscape of AI tools children/teenagers are using, from homework assistance platforms to creative applications and social interactions. Their expertise and practical approach made complex topics accessible and immediately applicable.

I'm particularly grateful for the actionable strategies on maintaining awareness of AI tools, setting appropriate boundaries, and fostering productive conversations with children about responsible AI use. Their emphasis on staying informed rather than reactive, along with frameworks for evaluating emerging AI tools, will prove invaluable moving forward.

This seminar equipped me with knowledge that is both personally and professionally significant. The insights into ethical considerations and educational implications of AI adoption among younger generations have deepened my understanding and will inform my approach to discussions around AI literacy and digital responsibility.”

Thank you for joining us and sharing your feedback, Jesus!
