Your Impact in 2024: Our Annual Report is Here!
In 2024, Sunshine Place provided an incredible 131,121 touchpoints of service—nearly 35,000 more than last year and more than double our total in 2022. The need has never been greater, but neither has the strength and generosity of our community.
As we reflect on another record breaking year, we are deeply grateful for YOU—our supporters, volunteers, and partners—who make this impact possible. More than 3,500 of you volunteered over 28,000 hours of service, and your financial support and donations of food, bedding, clothing, and more ensured we could provide help to our neighbors when they needed it most.
Together, you have built something truly special here at Sunshine Place. You can learn about the full impact of our community driven programs in our 2024 Annual Report—visit our website or click the button below.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
A huge thank you to the groups, businesses, and individuals who have recently volunteered, donated, and organized drives or events to support our mission. The impact of Sunshine Place programs is only possible because of our community’s generosity and commitment to helping one another.
Below are just a few highlights showcasing recent support. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see more stories of impact and kindness.
Last year, volunteers dedicated an incredible 23,643 hours to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry, and Dan and David O'Brien - Edward Jones truly understand the impact of this contribution. Dan has long been a supporter of recognizing our volunteers, and this year, we’re especially grateful for a $1,000 donation from them to ensure our volunteers know just how much they are appreciated!
Thank you to Gorilla Movers for their incredible support of The Bed Lady program! Last year, they helped deliver over 130 beds to kids in Sun Prairie, volunteering nearly 30 hours to load and deliver beds with program volunteers. Not only do they donate their time for deliveries, but they’ve also started helping us store the beds, saving us valuable time and resources. We couldn't do this work without you, Gorilla Movers!
We are so grateful for the groups that provided volunteers and food to serve at our Monday night Sunshine Supper program. Recent sponsor groups included Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic School, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and Heartland Church. Thank you for your hard work and generosity that makes this free weekly community meal possible!
A record number of families and individuals are turning to us for help with food, housing, and other essential needs. Your support ensures our neighbors can find hope and help at Sunshine Place when they need it most. Thank you!
