Dear Friends,
In the week since our meeting with our three Bishops, we have heard there are rumors. Please be at peace. All is in God's hands and He is leading us through this. The rumors are:
Fr. John Mary is forbidden to offer Mass.
The Archdiocese is taking our land.
The Archdiocese has shut down our retreats.
All of these are just rumors. They are not true.
Fr. John Mary has not been forbidden from saying Mass and the Archdiocese has not taken our property. As to the retreats, we canceled the next two retreats because we've had to devote so much time and energy to the meeting and follow-up concerns. And given our limited staff and resources, we were uncertain we could adequately prepare for, and hold the retreats in the necessary recollected spirit. We feel that it is better to reschedule them.
For those who are interested, we will have a gathering this Sunday after our 10 AM Mass to provide an accurate account of our meeting, to share some news about MDM’s future and to answer questions.
Jesus, we trust in You!

CHRIST IS THE LIGHT OF THE NATIONS*
This photo was taken by Neal Davis on his way to Mass last Saturday morning, catching the last moments of a rainbow before it disappeared. It looks like God was blessing St. Joseph Chapel with His rainbow.
Christ is THE Divine Light. Only His Divine Light can chase away the darkness of Satan. When the time comes when all other light is extinguished, only His Light, that descends by means of simple faith, simple child-like faith, will defeat the darkness of evil.
What is darkness if not the absence of Light? And what darkness can survive before the fullness of Light?
Blessed Light. Holy Light. What will Its splendor be, in order to illuminate the night, and the deep darkness of so many hearts?
Rivers of Light. Holy. Pure. Living. Open your heart to Christ and allow yourself to be embraced by His Light. The Light that only the little of heart, the humble, can recognize and receive.
Jesus Our Light, we trust in You.

February 9, 2024 Mission of Divine Mercy
Next Wednesday, Feb. 14 is ASH WEDNESDAY. We will have Mass at 11:30.
GRACES OF A HOLY HOUR
If you are not doing so already, consider offering to Jesus a Holy Hour of Adoration each week during Lent, if your circumstances permit it. Allow Him to speak to your heart in the silence. Many parishes offer the opportunity of Adoration. At the Mission, we have a public Holy Hour every Thursday from 7-8 PM.
OUR NEW VIDEO!
This six- minute video offers a simple introduction to our religious community, our apostolate, and our prophetic mission. It was developed primarily for people who have never been to the Mission. It is available on our website, on Rumble and Youtube, on our Facebook page and by using the button below.
Our deepest apologies to all those who had signed up or were looking forward to attending the EWJ retreats in February and March.
It was only after much prayer that we decided to cancel the next two retreats because we've had to devote so much time and energy to the meeting with our Bishops and follow-up concerns. And given our limited staff and resources, we were uncertain we could adequately prepare for, and hold the retreats in the necessary recollected spirit. We feel that it is better to reschedule them. Again, we apologize to all those who we have disappointed.

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary
MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You" ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:
I am a cradle Catholic who lived by some principles of the faith but never really lived by the faith. Church was part of my life every Sunday. A special relationship began to flower in my life. One that only God could have put in my path. For he is the farmer who broadcast the seeds. It is up to us through our own conscience to comprehend, and provided through the grace of God, to return yields of 10-fold, 20-fold, 50-fold for the Lord of Hosts. This helped me discover the need for true growth in Jesus Christ. Not for me alone anymore, but for others. ~Anonymous
