Pat Mulroy is a leader in the international water community for more than 30 years.   Between 1989 and 2014, Pat Mulroy served as the CEO of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, the largest municipal purveyor in Southern Nevada, as well as the CEO of the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), the regional agency responsible for acquiring, treating and delivering water to all jurisdictions in Southern Nevada.  Mulroy was a principal architect of the SNWA, helping to guide Southern Nevada through an unprecedented period of growth and one of the worst droughts in the history of the Colorado River.  Beginning in 1995, she also served as a negotiator for the State of Nevada on all interstate and international issues for the Colorado River; in 2007 she became the State’s lead negotiator. 

During her long tenure leading Southern Nevada’s water resource management efforts, Mulroy was exceptionally active in regional and national water issues.   She negotiated numerous trailblazing agreements with Nevada’s neighbors in the Colorado River Basin and with the country of Mexico.  Her reach in the water community extends far beyond the desert Southwest.  She currently serves as a member emeritus of the Water Research Foundation Board of Trustees.  She previously was on the board of the National Water Resources Association and the original Chairperson of the Western Urban Water Coalition.  She served as President of the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies and belonged to the board of directors of the Colorado River Water Users Association.

After her retirement in 2014, Pat was a Senior Fellow for the Brookings Institution and a Senior Fellow for Climate Adaptation and Environmental Policy and Practitioner in Residence for the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution at the UNLV Boyd School of Law.  Today Pat owns Sustainable Strategies, a consulting firm with corporate and public sector clients, for whom she negotiates water agreements and assists in the planning and scoping of needed facilities.  She also sits on the Board of two publicly traded companies as well as several not-for-profit organizations.

Brett Galaszewski is the National Field Enterprise Director of Turning Point Action.  Brett has been a pioneer Field operative with Turning Point Action going back to its first election cycle as an organization.  For almost 7 years, Brett has helped integrate many of the recruitment and community outreach tools that have helped make Turning Point Action a juggernaut in the Conservative grassroots arena.  Based in Wisconsin, Brett also serves as the Vice Chair of the Milwaukee County Republican Party, a role he takes pride in being among the youngest at the position in the Midwest.

      The June Primary results showed that voter participation is at an all-time low.  Even avid Conservatives voted at a much lower percentage rate than expected.  Despite all this dismal news, there is a bright light at the end of this election cycle and... it's Question 7 Voter ID. 

      Over 83% of Nevadans want Voter ID!  Voters are not as apathetic or lethargic during election season as one would assume. They just need something that they care about to make it worth their while.  Poll after poll shows that voters will come out to secure our elections.  Citizens want to require something as basic as a government-issued ID before their ballot is counted.  And the popularity of the SAVE Act indicates that citizens want to ensure that only citizens are able to participate in our democratic system.  

      So when your friends, family members or neighbors put you off when you remind them to vote, remind them that Question 7 Voter ID needs their YES vote to secure Nevada elections for generations to come.
